SMART Liberia appoints a new international Advisory Board. This board will help provide guidance and oversight for the organization and its core programs.The board will also help raise funds to carry out these programs and projects.
The board comes from diverse professional and social backgrounds, united by their common desire to change lives and impact communities and have chosen SMART Liberia as one of the vehicles to deliver this change. The International Advisory Board is comprised of three males and two females:
Dr.Goldberg is a professor of Literature and Human Rights at Babson College and also chairs the Arts and Humanities Divisions at the same college. She directs the Women’s Entrepreneurial Development Lab in the Lewis Institute Social Innovation Lab with a mission of empowering women who have survived slavery, exploitation, and marginalization using high-wage, dignified, stable employment, education, and hope. Dr. Goldberg is a graduate of Northeastern University and Miami University of Ohio.
Dr. Hanno is the current president of Wheaton College. He served as the Vice president and provost for Babson College. In addition to his academic Career, Dr. Hannon serves as a board member of Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative. Dr. Hanno acquired his education at the University of Notre Dame-, West New England College and University of Massachusetts Amherst where he earned his Ph.D.
Raja Kaul is the Chief Operating Officer of Sundial Group/ Sundial Brands. Educated at both McGill University and Cornel Law School, Raja among his many portfolios also served as Senior Advisor to the office of the president of the Republic of Liberia.
Jacob Donnelly is the Vice president of Brain Capital, one of the world’s leading private, alternative asset management firms, with approximately $75 billion in assets under management. Jacob was schooled at Harvard University, Harvard Kennedy School of Government and University of Oxford.
Kristin Caspar is a Country Desk Officer at Peace Corps head Quarters. Kristin is a graduate of Swarthmore College. She has a wealth of experience in international training and teaching as well as program management and administrative operations.
We are pleased to welcome these amazing individuals on our International Advisory Board. We are confident that their combined experience in Education, Leadership and Entrepreneurship will further drive our Vision of empowering students to lead and inspire change in Liberia.
